One of those moments...

We humans spend our lives bumbling along, and occasionally we have moments of insight, or of grace. They don't last long, but they somehow make life more worth living. Many writers have attempted to capture this feeling of momentary magical thinking; religions are founded upon seeking a permanent state of illumination or grace; and those who use drugs as "escape" are often seekers of the light.

-David Dodd, The Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics

These moments have happened before, and they're bound to happen again. Sometimes, you become too wound up in the fear of life in general, and the ties of imagination and reality tend to blend and combine. At times, you have to hit a point where you stop and realize that you need to unlock these tightly grown bounds, and let things flow again. You can let yourself stop for too long, or sometimes you will find yourself in the bad end of a daydream. Moments like these are what really break the tension when you on your own simply can't. It's a relief sometimes, to say the least.

So you readers out there, I hope you have that moment yourself, where the signs start to add up, and the path becomes a little more clear once again. Keep searching, and when the moment happens, appreciate it for as long as it stays. That light will illuminate you with life once again.

  • um I think that someone has decided not to write this summer. And I don't think this is cool.
