One of those moments...

We humans spend our lives bumbling along, and occasionally we have moments of insight, or of grace. They don't last long, but they somehow make life more worth living. Many writers have attempted to capture this feeling of momentary magical thinking; religions are founded upon seeking a permanent state of illumination or grace; and those who use drugs as "escape" are often seekers of the light.

-David Dodd, The Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics

These moments have happened before, and they're bound to happen again. Sometimes, you become too wound up in the fear of life in general, and the ties of imagination and reality tend to blend and combine. At times, you have to hit a point where you stop and realize that you need to unlock these tightly grown bounds, and let things flow again. You can let yourself stop for too long, or sometimes you will find yourself in the bad end of a daydream. Moments like these are what really break the tension when you on your own simply can't. It's a relief sometimes, to say the least.

So you readers out there, I hope you have that moment yourself, where the signs start to add up, and the path becomes a little more clear once again. Keep searching, and when the moment happens, appreciate it for as long as it stays. That light will illuminate you with life once again.

Hello Summer

Goodbye school =)

Hello folks. Once again, a real long time since I've written anything here. So long that I forgot my username even haha. Thought it was just "dswain" but apparently not. Oops... oh well I suppose. Anyway, so school is over finally. I'm pretty positive I passed and whatnot, so that's always good. Getting ready for the next year coming up by doing nothing for the next 2 1/2 months. Yeah... and that's about it.

Work is going well. Not too much to say about that. It's a little bit tough at times, and sometimes a little bit slow, but generally a nice job I'd say. I start my day shift this week also, so that means almost double hours for me. Money goes away real fast if you're not careful with it, so the extra time is helpful.

In one week will have been nine months with Carolyn... that was fast. SHHHEEEEEESSHHH! Hah I'm going to have to do something nice for our one year anniversary. I wonder what though... hm, well I'll figure it out when I get there. She's getting a job now also, so knowing our luck, she'll work all the times I'm not and vice-versa. It'll work out somehow though.

I got my new laptop which has been fantastic thus far. Pretty quick, good price, good condition and so on. Not too much to say about that, so you know, whatever.

Lately I've been back in my scripting groove. I had fallen out of it recently, but now I've been kicking it back into gear since I've rejoined LinuxTeens. They're a little quiet and such over at LinuxTeens, so not a lot gets done often, but somewhat understandably. We all lead different lives I suppose, so it makes sense.

Anyway, that's really all I have to talk about for now. Maybe I'll try and keep on top of things more often this summer. I'll try my best, especially when Carolyn starts getting upset at me about it. Later folks.

Oh and by the way, if you're looking for some good music to listen to, check out The Dead on 6-9-1977. It's quite the show, to say the very least. I love it, so it must be good!
